Utah, Happy Birthday Knife, oh no....UTAH!!!

So, a little update.

Last week I spent 3 days in Utah looking at various hospitals and I gotta tell you, the U of U hospital is AMAZING!!! Oh yeah, and Primary Children's Hospital is like...a DREAM come true! Those two hospitals are like so awesome. And while I was there I thought to myself, "wouldn't it be cool to work here? Too bad I'll NEVER live in utah..." and guess what? Derek has a really good lead for a job in frickin' Utah. Yeah, that's right ladies and gentlemen...as of right now it looks like we may get stuck in Utah. *sigh*

I do have to admit that the benefits are absolutely ridiculous at those hospitals and just...*sigh* amazing...

Anyhow, it was a really fun trip and I got to spend some quality time with some of my nursing friends. Here's a couple photos from when we ate out. I'm a little bummed that I didn't take more pictures because we had a blast doing different stuff!

And lastly, Derek lost his favorite knife last fall and has been missing it ever so desperately ever since. SO, Derek asked me if I would let him buy a new knife to replace his old one and it could be his birthday present...5 months in advance. Well, I gave in. Here are some pictures of him opening his new toy!!

Now, just in case you can't capture his excitement and you need a closer look...just FYI...Derek looked EVERY DAY to see where it was located in its shipping to coming here. He also spent the ENTIRE afternoon waiting for the Fedex to drop it off. He literally sat on the couch saying "it should be here any minute." I think he started pacing within an hour of its arrival. It was so cute. He loves his new knife a lot. I'm glad we got it for him. He's been working so hard and deserves a nice gift! I LOVE YOU HONEY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! HEHE
